About • Since 1996
Thirty years in the same building, teaching the same way.
IJD is one campus in Shaikpet — not a chain, not a franchise. Since 1996 we've taught the TGBIE Intermediate syllabus with integrated competitive coaching, and Osmania University degree programmes, to students from this neighbourhood and the ones around it. Many of the families who walk in today were taught by us a generation ago.
Our Approach
Simplified yet quality educare, from our hearts.— written every morning on the welcome board at our Shaikpet entrance.
That line is the whole idea, really. Teaching that's clear before it's clever; care that shows up in small ways — a teacher who notices a student going quiet, an office that remembers a parent's name. We don't promise miracles. We promise attention, and a thirty-year habit of treating exam season as something a student walks through with us, not alone.
Our story
How a Shaikpet college quietly turned thirty.
1996 — A start in Shaikpet.
IJD opened on the Old Mumbai Highway as a junior college, teaching the Intermediate board syllabus to students from the immediate neighbourhood.
Word of mouth, not billboards.
It grew the way a local institution does — one satisfied family telling the next, until three generations of Shaikpet households had passed through the same gate.
Boards first, coaching alongside.
Competitive coaching for IIT-JEE, NEET, EAPCET and CA Foundation was brought in-house and woven into the same daily timetable as the board syllabus — added to the boards, never put in their place.
A degree wing under Osmania.
Three-year undergraduate programmes affiliated to Osmania University were added, so students could move from Intermediate into a degree without leaving the campus they knew.
2026 — Thirty years in.
Same address, same approach: small classes, faculty who stay, and results we're willing to publish with real names attached.
The people, not the brochure
The same faces, year after year.
Many of our teachers have taught on this campus for over a decade. When a student is two years out from a board exam, that continuity matters — the lecturer who taught your first-year class is usually the one who sees you through your last.
Cohorts are kept small on purpose, so faculty know every student by name and can tell early when someone is slipping. There is no relationship manager and no app standing between a parent and a teacher; people speak to each other directly.
It is a co-educational, respectful environment — girls and boys learning side by side, treated as the young adults they are. That's the part the local families have trusted us with for three decades.
What we stand by
Six things we've refused to change.
Faculty who stay.
Continuity over churn. Teachers who know how a Shaikpet student usually struggles in October and what they panic about in February.
Co-ed and respectful.
Girls and boys learn alongside each other in a family-friendly environment local parents trust.
Boards first, coaching alongside.
Integrated IIT-JEE, NEET and CA Foundation coaching runs in parallel with the TGBIE syllabus — never replacing it.
A neighbourhood, not a chain.
One campus that has known three generations of families — not a corporate brand with a logo on every corner.
Small classrooms, named students.
Class sizes kept deliberately small, so faculty and office staff alike know students by name.
Honest results.
We publish real toppers with real marks and tell parents what their child is actually capable of.
