Intermediate • TGBIE
Two years of Intermediate, with the coaching built in.
IJD runs TGBIE Intermediate in four streams — MPC, BiPC, MEC and CEC. Competitive coaching for IIT-JEE, NEET, EAPCET and CA Foundation is taught in-house, alongside the board syllabus, by the same faculty. Boards first, coaching woven around them — not a separate evening institute to rush off to.
The four streams
Pick a direction. The coaching follows.
Each stream pairs the full TGBIE board course with the competitive preparation that fits it — all under one roof in Shaikpet.
Maths, Physics, Chemistry
For students who can already see themselves in engineering or the physical sciences. The board syllabus is taught in full, and IIT-JEE and EAPCET (Engineering) preparation runs alongside it from the first year — same teachers, same building, one timetable.
Biology, Physics, Chemistry
For students heading toward medicine, pharmacy, agriculture or the life sciences. NEET and EAPCET (Agriculture & Medical) coaching is woven into the two years without crowding out the board work that decides their Intermediate result.
Maths, Economics, Commerce
A commerce stream with a mathematical edge, for students drawn to accounting, finance, economics or a professional route such as CA. CA Foundation coaching runs in-house alongside the board course for those who want to start early.
Civics, Economics, Commerce
A commerce stream without mathematics, pairing economics and commerce with civics — a sensible base for law, civil services, business or the humanities. CA Foundation coaching is available in-house for students who want it.
Coaching, in-house
The coaching lives inside the timetable.
The competitive preparation here isn't outsourced to a separate brand. IIT-JEE, NEET, EAPCET and CA Foundation are taught by the same faculty who handle the board syllabus, in the same classrooms — so the two halves of a student's day actually talk to each other.
Batches are kept small enough that a teacher notices when a student goes quiet. Doubts get sorted in the room, not pushed to a weekend.
And parents hear from the people who teach — directly, not through an app. If a student is drifting, someone calls home before the marks do.
How it works
What two years of Intermediate at IJD looks like.
Boards first, always.
The TGBIE syllabus is never sidelined. Competitive coaching is built around it, not stacked on top of it — because the Intermediate result is the one every door opens with.
One roof, one faculty.
IIT-JEE, NEET, EAPCET and CA Foundation are all taught in-house by IJD teachers. No franchise tie-up, no second institute, no extra commute.
Small, named batches.
Class sizes are kept deliberately small. Faculty know every student by name — and so do the office staff.
Co-ed and steady.
Girls and boys learn alongside each other in a respectful, family-friendly setting that Shaikpet families have trusted since 1996.
On the TGBIE calendar.
The academic year follows the board calendar and usually begins around June–July. Admission enquiries, though, are welcome any time of year.
Parents often ask
Questions about the Intermediate years.
Which Intermediate streams does IJD College offer?
We offer four TGBIE Intermediate streams: MPC (Maths, Physics, Chemistry), BiPC (Biology, Physics, Chemistry), MEC (Maths, Economics, Commerce) and CEC (Civics, Economics, Commerce).
Is the competitive coaching in-house or through a franchise?
All integrated coaching for IIT-JEE, NEET, EAPCET and CA Foundation is conducted in-house by IJD faculty. There is no franchise, partner institute or outsourced coaching.
Does the coaching replace board preparation?
No. The TGBIE board syllabus is taught in full and comes first. Competitive coaching runs alongside the board timetable through both years, never in place of it.
Is the Intermediate programme co-educational?
Yes. Girls and boys learn alongside each other in a respectful, family-friendly environment that Shaikpet families have trusted since 1996.
When does the Intermediate academic year begin?
